I have parent teacher conferences today. Only 8. 8x5minutes = 40. 7hours x 60 = 420. 420-40 = 380 minutes left to blog. It's going to be a long day.
 

I'm sure you could extend a lot of confrences by telling the parents horrible things (lies even) until thy cry. They then would have to sit there longer to mop up tears and you things like "Why? Why my little girl? Why can't ashe read? I thought i taught her" ans so on.
 

If you use my method of teacher conferencing, you get a more exponetial figure. 1.1.2.3.5.8.13.21.... and 40 you got like an hour per parent.
 

I have a meeting today in which I will crush a poor salesman's spirit....my revenge against all car salesman.....
 

My first conference just took six minutes and I was pissed! I don't want them to take long! I need them to leave. The fake smile hurts my face. 7 more to go.
 

Ack. I had an early bird. An hour before his time. Oh well, he took 5 minutes but wanted to know if his daughter caused any trouble in class. This girl doesn't say boo. I have a feeling this is like what I would ask about my wubbie. "Are you sure he doesn't bounce around a million miles a minute?" "Are you sure?"

Everything is funny as long as it is happening to someone else.....my new work calendar is full of quotes...is someone trying to tell me something????
 

The parent with the daughter with the 94 average took 15 MINUTES! What was he thinking?!? I can't smile for 15 minutes straight! My cheeks hurt. Than I had the last guy with daughter with 74 take 5. I think I'll give the girl with a 74 a couple more extra points cause the dad didn't ramble. 4 more to go.

Kubrick's 1st movie "Paths of Glory" was about these dudes being executed by firing squad in WWI. The one general wakes the one dude up who had been passed out from a concussion just to be shot. That Penguin-beetle comment made me think of that. Why would you wake someone up, just let them pass from sleep to the long sleep.

For the same reason that I made the movie Space Odyssey so long...and boring...and annoying. Because I am a glutton for punishment. Punishing the penguins seemed the next best avenue for my work. It should be long...drawnout...painfull to watch...
