China King...here I come!!!!

Doe- a deer, a female deer
Ray- the guy who ran it over
Me- dragging it in the door
Far- from being USDA choice
Soy- will hide the gamey taste
La- the cook who'll fry it up
Tea- to wash dead deer down
That will bring us back to do oh oh oh

Comments:
My favorite part is that after they closed China King down because of the deer incident, King Buffet was packed full.

And owned by the same people.

So... I saw a guy taking a deer out of his car and didn't think much of it, but when he started dragging it in the front door, I thought it was time to call the police.

mmmmmm.... general tso's deer

i guess deetr beats the hell out of seagulls and cat.

so, uh...

bored. i mean, there is a ton i could be doing. but maybe later.

that's really funny.

I always wonder about that "meat" at chinese food places. It never is quite like anything else that I have eaten

I will post the scores after I try to figure out all of the roster moves (some of which do not seem to be valid)

Any other opinions on what to do when an owner makes an invalid roster move and then starts that player? I say no points for that player?

Or we can throw the rest of the rule book out the window and not care???

Actually, it turns out that only BSOD made an invalid roster move.

You can not go below 2 tight ends.

BSOD tried to cut a TE and pick up a QB

Work break - brb

maybe

Stupid work

work schmerk.

Thank goodness! Here I thought it was me. I agree though...if it was an illegal move (or other) zero points for that position.

the ruling on the BSOD waiver move of cutting a TE for a QB (Miller for Delhomme) is invalid.

no points for Delhomme

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chinese food and I don't CARE CARE CARE where it comes from.

As long as it's free from hair.

In the future - your roster must have at lease 2 of every position.

if you had picked up an extra QB at the sup draft, then you can cut a QB for a positional player, but would not be able to go under 2.

Same for kickers, TE, def, etc (this would also include RB and WR, you would not be able to have only one of these on your roster)

If BSOD still wants Delhomme, he would need to cut either a QB or a RB or WR

I'd go with the pork. you can usually tell if it is pork, but the beef?? no telling what that is.

and now, on to the scores....

From the I wish that i had played anyone but FFS this week file...

the Sleepers fall to the mighty FFS by the score of 128.5 to 107 (FFS, I say).

(In a surprise and very productive move, FFS benched the once mighty Peyton Manning in favor of Phil Rivers and reaped the reward of a 28 point performance. Almost as much as the Sleepers Drew Breese at 31. Apparently, the air in London was filled with footballs on Sunday. FFS also benifited from a strong showing from the Giants Defense (4 ints???) and from Santana Moss, who added on a Punt Return TD to 9 rec, 140 yrd and 1 TD day for a total of 25.5. The Sleepers could just not keep pace and a subpar game from M Jones-Drew was all it took for the Sleepers to fail. I'm just so glad that had I played Dallas Clark instead of Owen Daniels at TE, I still would of only had 126 points.)

The Decepticons hand Slackass another loss by the score of 103.5 to 69.

(The Decepticons rode the London Fog to victory on the backs of L Tomlinson's 22.5 points and Antonio Gates' 15. Seems the NFL did not want another boring showcase game in London like last years and so banned any defense from being played on Sunday. meanwhile, Brett Favre is back to his int tossing ways and lost 9 points for SA and that Bills Defense was not only lackluster in the real world, it was also pretty lame in the fantasy world with a paltry 2 points)

In the barnburner of the week, the Super Beetles hang on for victory by defeating BSOD by the score of 47 to 19.5.

(Yes folks, that is the correct score. (pause for laughter to subside) Even if Delhomme was in the lineup, BSOD would only have had 40.5 points, a fact that made my descision much easier. not much to say about this one, except that behind McNabb's 18 points, of which 8 of those came by his running, the high scorer of the matchup was a kicker with 14. Too many 0s and 1s in both teams lineups.)

and finally....

In a heated matchup that came down to a couple of 1 yard TD runs on MNF, the Amazing Apes defeat the Mean Ween Beans by the score of 92 to 81.

(The two teams combined for 60 points from the Arizona/Carolina game. Amazing Apes had 24 from K Warner at QB and 23.5 and 1 point from E James at RB. MWB had 10.5 from L Fitzgelard at WR and 1 point from J Stewart at RB (still trying to figure out why the Daily Show's John Stewart is trying to play football?) but the player of the game is the newly acquired Lendell White who had two 1 yard TD runs for the Amazing Apes. White finished the game with 10 carries for 13 yards, but two of those 10 went for TDs, not bad)

Standing after week 8

FFS 5-3 738.5
Decepticons 5-3 715
Super Beetles 5-3 591.5
Sleepers 4-4 713
BSOD 4-4 570
MWB 3-5 629
SA 3-5 556
AA 3-5 549.5

does anyone care about the world series?

would anyone really know or care if they just decided not to finish playing the game and just hand the trophy to the Phillies?

stupid score... stupid tight end rules...

Go BSOD!!!!

Oh dear me!!!

What a humiliating score!

well, if you dont win the first one, you cant win them all.

and general tso would never lead me astray

5-3 baby!!! 5 and 3!!!!

It just does not seem right that the Super Beetles are 5 and 3 after posting a 47?

47 points is enough for a win?

and 107 lands me in the loser column?

It just does not seem right (I would have said that it did not seem fair, but I did not want to leave myself open to the good ol' "A fair is where you take your animals in the summer" comment.)

a right is the opposite of left. as in to hang a ralphie.

Excellent post SB!!!!! Three cheers!!

What a funny day...go 47.
