Why should anyone worry about how MJO will fund college - isn't that a perk of working for a college?? Maybe Dad could pick an ivy league institute for his library services. Canisius used to provide such a benny for its staff.

Actually, it is one of the french benifits (what, they're not French benifits?) of working for a college and there are reciprocal agreements with other local institutions, but that would presuppose that I am still working as a librarian in one of said institutions.

That being said, I wouldn't want to limit his choices on where to attend based solely on cost.

either way, the beating that the market is taking does give pause to the idea that equities are the best vehicle for long term investment and makes one consider alternative forms of savings for the eventuality of college tuition costs, including but not limited to US treasury securities or bonds and the age old investment in gold.

But in this type of investment atmosphere it would behoove MJO to focus on attaining a schoarship to make the rest of this entirely moot. I will strees that to him again this evening.

Federal authorities say former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry has been arrested following an alleged cocaine deal.

The Drug Enforcement Administration says Henry is being held pending the filing of federal drug charges in federal court Wednesday in Denver.

The DEA says Henry and James Mack were arrested Tuesday after a "multikilogram cocaine transaction" in the Denver suburb of Centennial.
