I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over.

Out on the edge you see all kinds of things
that you can't ever see in the center.

Comments:
Morning Folks! Glad it didn't snow last night :)

ah, Kurt's edge. a great place to read about.

and i used that quote in an email once too.

but somehow Sean Austin (Encino man and Sam in the lord of the rings) was in the harrison bergeron movie

Someone must have owed a favor.

Or was a giant Rudy fan.

oh yeah!!! he was Rudy too!!!!

cause he is not that badass.

Week 7 Scores

The once mighty Decepticons have hit a rough patch and have dropped another one, losing to the Sleepers by the score of 112.5 to 77.

(a slow day from QB breese was not a concern as all but the QB and Def scored in double digits for the sleepers. And who doesn't like a 96 yard TD catch by Calvin Johnson? The Decepticons had strong defensive play from the Bears with 24 points, but not much from the RB/WR position with a combined 23 from all four players. Apparently LT with the number 2 overall pick was not much better that Tom Braby with the number 1 overall pick)

The Super Beetles bounced back with a strong showing over Slackass, winning by the score of 81 to 48.5.

(Slackass had three players with 1 point and one with .5. I'm almost certian that has not happened before. It is one thing to have some zeros because a player did not start, but 1s and .5? Difficult to pull that one off. And the number 3 overall pick in the OFFL draft continues to lead the way for the Super Beetles. Adrian P had 24.5 for the SBs and the Green Bay Defense chipped in with 20. The SBs may want to look for a kicker as it seems that Graham is injured)

FFS dominated MWB by the score of 99.5 to 72.5.

(Another strong showing by a defense as the Giants netted 26 for FFS. that combined with another big game from C johnson in Tennessee (23 points) was enough to offset a poor 3 point performance from the once mighty Peyton Manning. The Mean Ween Beanshad a couple of holes in their roster and ended the day with a couple of zeros. The late addition of Roddy White did not help as he was on a bye week and inserting Boss into the lineup di not add any production. Randy moss had a strong night with 2tds, but it was not enough for MWB)

And finally...

The Great Apes had stumbled and fell this week being defeated by BSOD by the score of 80 to 36.5.

(The Great Apes may need to attempt to rework their roster to field a competative team down the strech. After Larry Johnson lit it up a week ago, he gets the bench for being late to a team meeting, this did not help the Great Apes. and Roy Williams, recently acquired by the disfunctional Cowboys was not inserted into Dallas's lineup due to injury. A disheartening day for the Great Apes. Meanwhile, BSOD continues the climb from the bottom to the top with strong receiver play, getting 14s from both Lee Evens and A Johnson. The RB spot is a bit of a different story with R Bush and R Brown combining for 8)

on to week 8

At the halfway point of the OFFL season, the standings are as follows;

Decepticons 4-3 611.5
FFS 4-3 610
Sleepers 4-3 606
BSOD 4-3 550.5
Super Beetles 4-3 544.5
MWB 3-4 548
Slackass 3-4 487
Amazing Apes 2-5 457.5

If the playoffs wre today....

The Super Beetles, with the same win/loss record as the number 1 team, would still be fighting to stay out of the toilet bowl.

For those of you who may need a backup QB (Amazing Apes) Kyle Orton and Jake Delhomme are both in the top ten for yardage in the league and are both still available on the waiver wire

hey BSOD,

What do you think about a Terrell Owens for Willie Parker trade?

or perhaps the Super Beetles would be interested in shoring up their receiving core with said TO for Steven Jackson?

TO has to be better than relying on Greg Jennings

FFS....

Owens for Chris Johnson?

Slackass

Owens and Matt Schaub (your QB situation is a bit soft right now) for Clinton Portis?

anyone else?

That sucks!

Throw in some swedish fish and kitkats and we'll talk!

Does Terrell kick? Cause apparently I need one.

you run the risk of Portis getting suspended for dope. that is a risk you run.

can i draft Rudy?

I have Adam Viniteri to throw in if your looking for kicking help

umm....did your wish come true?

what if my wish is for something that is longer than 8 days away?

Like winning the OFFL championship?

What if all 8 teams wished for that? Would that create a huge problem for the universe?

oh the horror!!!!

kaffryn, i'm done with the rescue heroes.

BSOD RULES ALL!!! and to think that there were doubters saying i wouldn't be any good with my 2 qbs drafted in the first 2 rounds. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
