the movie had me outside during the snow on thursday. in and out of a building. i was a mess by the end.
 

and it had to look like i was in teh snow for a while. which i was, but i had to cover myself in snow everytiem i went outside.
 

i was rolling around on cars to soak up snow.

It came to a vote because the Board is more worried about $ than they are about the education of the students they were voted in to protect. And in response to your second question - the Holland School Board members.

Jesus did it, John the Baptist did it, but ate locusts, so I guess that it is not a true fast, Ghandi fasted a lot, but never for 40 days.

I'm thinking that you would not make it for very long.

i am trying to get up earlier lately. take a few minutes to myself before ht6e day gets underway. but i dont really eat then. maybe some oatmeal would be good. maybe just one day a week i will do that. a hindu lady here told me they go from dinner to breakfast 2 days later, but only like 3 times a week.

I can't get in the computer till Heidi leaves, so that's why I write late in the day. I don't believe the idea of John the Bapt or any other famous fasters actually went without anything for 40 days. Even with Ramadan, they eat at night. I would like to know what they really ate. Abstain means to go without any, but fast means something different....Mom

now I know that with all of the throwing around of Billion dollar figures, we were supposed to become immune to rediculus spending plans, but really????

Obama is presenting a budget that will have a 1.75 trillion dollar deficit this year??? nad that does not take into accout the stimulus which was spent under last year's fiscal year!!!

to put some perspective on that

In 2000, the entire federal budget was $1.78 trillion (there was actually a surplus that year of $236 billion), now 9 years later, we will have a budget deficit as large as the whole entire budget was???

In 2007, prior to the whole stimulus thing, the federal budget was $2.7 trillion, with a deficit of $354 billion.

this guy submits a budget of $3.94 trillion!!!!!

and then has the audacity to say that he is Pledging "a new era of responsibility," ???? and that he will cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term, but that only means that he will get it down to $533 billion, higher than it has ever been before.
 

and then there is this

The $1.75 trillion deficit projected for this year would represent 12.3 percent of the gross domestic product, double the previous post-war record of 6 percent in 1983, when Ronald Reagan was president, and the highest level since the deficit totaled 21.5 percent of GDP in 1945, at the end of World War II.
 

now I know it is somewhat naive to just say that he is burdening the future generations with debt and that he is being extremely shortsighted in his view, but really?? this is an enormous expansion of the federal government that will havbe to be paid for indefinately and the definition of rich may be couples earning $250,000 today, but when those couples decide that it is not worth it to both work and now you only have one individual earning less than $200,000, they are no longer rich and then you slowly creep the definition of rich lower and then say, oh, the middle class is getting health coverage from the govt, they should be paying something, and so it goes, the marginal tax rate on everyone slowly creeps up and innovation and ambition is crushed.

and since when did raising corporate taxes make sence???

typically, the increased cost is just passed on to the consummer or the factory closes and moves offshore.

These ideas have been tried and have failed.
