Is there currently a more hated man then Lieberman on the "progressive" side of the Democratic party? I'm thining that they would rather send old GW a Christmas card than a Hanukkah card to Joe.

First there was the whole 2000 election fiasco (I'm still wondering about that choice), then the Democrats try to oust him from the senate in the last election with forcing him to run a primary, which he then negated by running and winning as an independant and then he forces his position on the Health Care Reform bill, killing the last vestiges of a progressive bill and making the health care reform bill just another way for insurance companies to make money.

This guy certinaly knows how to piss people off.

What is the White house so concerned with if the Health Care bill takes longer to pass? Why is Joe Biden saying that if it is not passes by Christmas, it will never get passed? Why are they so concerned about the midtrem elections?

Oh, is it because the majority of Americans do not support them?

Short of a wholesale conversion to a single payer system, what's the point?
 

or just increase the ceiling on income for medicaid and lower the entrance age for medicare and pass a law stating that insurance companies can not cut you if you get sick and set up a oversight group to review rejected claims.
 

seems to me that if you cut out the special interests, you could get a bill with less than 2,000 pages

Based on radius and mass from estimates determined by the distortion of photons, they came up with the conculsion that it is a superheated ocean planet????

That's some pretty sketchy conclusion if you ask me.
